While the last two models only date from last October, Apple is already preparing to unveil a new MacBook Pro. This is in any case what the Taiwanese media affirms DigiTimeswhich is not at its first attempt when it comes to predicting future Apple releases.
For the site, it is like this early March that Cupertino would present its next laptop. This calendar sticks with the one on which Mark Gurman tables, for whom a conference would be planned for Tuesday 8 with the third generation iPhone SE as the headliner. Of course, it is impossible to verify this information with certainty, but we do know that Apple is in the habit of launching products during this period.
Entry level ?
While the MacBook Air is currently at best price, Apple seems to want with its future MacBook Pro to reach a less well-off audience there too. It must be said that currently, the most affordable price for this range still starts at 1,449 euros in France. And again: for this sum, you will only be entitled to the old model without M1 Pro or M1 Max chip and with a screen whose diagonal is limited to 13.3 inches only.
The 2022 MacBook Pro, meanwhile, is likely to be powered by a M2 processor whose name is obviously again subject to caution. There would also be no Touch Bar, or ProMotion technology (allowing the panel to reach a rate of 120 Hz) or mini-LEDs, just to lower the purchase price.
Possible discontinuation of the MacBook Pro M1
Logically, if this new MacBook Pro M2 sees the light of day then it is also very likely that the November 2020 one will be removed from the shelves at the same time. Which makes sense with the multiple promotions that regularly appear on this machine from the various French retailers.
Impossible to know if its successor will be more or less expensive, but this article is still of very good quality to this day and betting on its performance will therefore perhaps make it possible to achieve a very good last minute deal.
