a video leaks the date of the pre-orders

We already know that the release of Apple’s new MacBook Air equipped with its M2 chip is imminent and will take place during the month of July. The pre-order date probably just leaked in a new video from YouTuber Marques Brownlee (MKBHD). It is a wink present in the middle that brings us this information.

Towards a start of pre-orders this Friday?

The videographer reviews the new ROG Phone 6 Pro, and in the middle we can see a very fleeting image that shows the calendar widget on the phone’s home screen where an event called “Apple MBA Briefing” scheduled for this Thursday July 7 is mentioned.

However, we know that the Cupertino company always invites some journalists to participate in a meeting a few days before the release date of a product in stores. Then, in this same MKBHD video, we can see on the calendar event “MacBook Air Embargo” on July 14th.

These two dates make sense if we rely on previous reports on the subject. Indeed, we are talking about July 15 for the release of the new MacBook Air in stores, while the start of pre-orders would take place a week earlier, on July 8. We can therefore imagine that this date will be confirmed soon by Apple, or on the contrary that the Apple brand will prove us wrong.
