Alicia Machado is going through days of anguish and helplessness after learning that a large part of her winery in Huntington Park, California was stolen, where she kept with her partner Ruby Vargas all the products from her cosmetic, makeup and sportswear line.
The event occurred this Thursday at 2 in the morning, and as the actress and model related in a video for her fans that she published on Instagram, the thieves broke the windows and took much of the merchandise.
“We are very sad and worried. Ruby and I not only work here, there is another large group of women, we are all heads of the family and it has taken us a lot of effort to set up this winery,” Machado said with tears in his eyes.
Machado made an explicit and public request to the authorities in Huntington Park, California, to try to find the authors of the robbery and to recover as much merchandise as possible. In addition, he remarked that his products are not sold on the street or retail, since they only carry out wholesale sales, so if he stumbled upon any type of sale of this style, he asked to announce the authorities.
In the looted warehouse, the businesswomen had also set up a makeup school and hoped to be able to quickly resume normal activities that had already suffered a slump due to the coronavirus pandemic.
This type of criminal acts began to become more frequent in recent years since it is public knowledge that many artists and entrepreneurs store their products in that area of the city.
