Amber Heard releases statement after losing trial against Johnny Depp

After 6 weeks of giving statements and presenting numerous evidence, this June 1 the Virginia state jury deliberated that Amber Heard defamed Johnny Depp through the publication he made in the Washington Post in 2019, where the actress revealed having been a victim of domestic violence.

Subsequently, Depp filed the lawsuit for defamation against his ex-wife, pointing out that it had affected him at work and financially, for which he asked Amber Heard for the amount of 50 million dollars.

Now, after the trial came to an end and the actor thanked his fans and jurors for their support, the actress released a statement to express her disappointment with the trial.

“The disappointment I feel today is beyond words. I am heartbroken that the mountain of evidence was still not enough to stand up to the disproportionate power and influence of my ex-husband.”indicated the actress in her letter.
