Apple releases iOS 15.1.1, but not for all iPhones

Aperçu nouveautés iOS 15

For a few hours, the Californian firm has been deploying a new iOS update to users of iPhone 12, 12 mini, 12 Pro, 12 Pro Max, 13, 13 mini, 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max. it’s about the system version 15.1.1, therefore available now only on these machines. The other iOS 15 compatible iPhones remain at iOS 15.0 for the moment.

Also note that iOS 15.2 should arrive in less than a month. A few days ago the 3rd beta of this minor update arrived.

Why a special iPhone 12 and 13 update?

The iPhone 12 and 13 (and their mini, Pro and Pro Max versions) suffer from a major problem: phone calls can sometimes be quite unstable. Users of these machines have notably reported random cuts occurring in the middle of a call. Sometimes even the iPhone simply hangs up without warning

This update 15.1.1 aims to correct the shooting. Apple states in the release notes:

“IOS 15.1.1 improves call drop performance on iPhone 12 and iPhone 13 models.”

Notice to readers with one of the affected iPhones: If you have encountered the problem so far, will the update improve the situation?

Thank you for your testimony.
