During the first semester of this year 2020 new vehicle registrations in Turkey registered a significant 30.2% increase compared to the same period of the previous year until reaching a total volume of 203,595 units delivered to new customers.
By fuel types gasoline vehicles managed to gain a lot of ground to become the public’s favorite, something that had not happened for 40 years. In total 101,998 gasoline vehicles were delivered compared to 86,684 diesel. 9,036 gas, 5,704 hybrids and 173 electric were also sold.
Most users in Turkey choose to an automatic transmission, reaching 69.6% of the quota (141,750 units). It is also common for engines have a cylinder capacity of less than 1.6 liters (95.1% share) and when we talk about the type, the most demanded is a small-compact three-volume sedan, followed by crossovers.
