Julio César Mora Tapia and Waldramina Maclovia are a couple originally from Ecuador, which have recently made history by entering the Guinness Book of Records by becoming the longest-lived marriage in the world.

The recognition was given to them since If you add the age of both, in total you will get 214 years of life and a lot of love.

Julio is 110 years old and his wife, Waldramina, 104. The two met when they were very young, during a vacation, when he was visiting his sister, who lived in the same building as Maclovia. This led them to forge a friendship that gradually turned into love.

The couple married on February 7, 1941, despite the fact that their families did not agree with that wedding. They had 5 children, although the oldest died some time ago, at the age of 58; they currently have 11 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and 9 great-great-grandchildren.

“The love and maturity that we had as a couple from the beginning of the marriage allowed us to know each other and grow emotionally to define our future. It was not easy because the families did not have a good friendship, but with time and patience we were able to unite them and we became an example and the best reference for the younger generations ”, they expressed.
