Although we will not know all the details of the new Audi e-tron GT until February 9, a few minutes ago the first images of the expected model were leaked.
The GT will join the e-tron family of the German brand in the short term, becoming a fully electric saloon that bears numerous aesthetic and technological similarities with the Audi A7 Sportback.
This sports car will be the second 100% electric model from Audi, together with the e-tron SUV available in two body versions. To its aesthetic and mechanical virtues, which promise to rival the Porsche Taycan, we must add the curiosity that it is already being manufactured in the same line as the Audi R8 V10.
While the last teaser of the German firm was not especially revealing, the leaked images of the e-tron GT make it clear that the model maintains many of the design traits already seen in the prototype.
If the RS version follows in the footsteps of the prototype, it will use the same twin-engine setup as the Taycan Turbo S, but with a total horsepower of 598 hp. Thanks to the function overboost will display up 646 hp and 830 Nm punctually. This means that the prototype has slightly less power and torque than a Taycan Turbo.
What they both share is the battery, which has a net capacity of 83.7 kWh. Other specifications speak of a curb weight of 2.3 tons, with a 0 to 100 km / h in 3.5 seconds and a top speed limited to 250 km / h. The big unknown remains the autonomy, especially considering that the recent update of the Tesla Model S speaks of 837 km.
