Tanning is one of my favorite summer activities. However, many people do it without proper precautions and this can have some consequences on the skin, such as painful burns.

If you are one of those who ever went through this situation, here is a list of five home remedies that you can put into practice to treat your skin naturally.

Home Remedies To Remove And Heal Sunburn

  1. It doesn’t matter what time you sunbathe, or if the day is cloudy: always use sunscreen, as it is the only scientifically proven barrier against UV rays. If you acquire this habit and adopt it as a routine, you will be protecting yourself, not only from a burn but also from skin cancer.
  2. Aloe Vera plant is one of the most effective in lightening an area affected by the sun, thanks to its soothing and antioxidant properties. In fact, many protectors and bronzers contain it among its ingredients. To get the most out of it, you can use its leaves or buy some natural aloe vera gel and place it on your skin as many times as you want, repeating the process every day.
  3. This ingredient is not only suitable for cooking, since thanks to its antioxidant properties it will serve to treat sunburn. To try the remedy you can fill the tub with water, dump the oats there and then immerse yourself for 15 or 20 minutes. This will help treat the affected area without aggressiveness.
  4. When there is burned skin, bacteria and residues form and must be eliminated. That is why it is important to exfoliate once a week with gentle movements and choosing a product that has small grains, so as not to hurt the area. There are many natural and environmentally friendly options on the market.
  5. There is nothing better than cold to counteract a burn and refresh affected skin. For this, you can opt for cold compresses of water or milk (which you can make at home) and place them in the affected area for at least 40 minutes. If you do it regularly you will see the results.

Remember that these tips are very useful, but it is important that you always consult a doctor to assess the severity of burns and, if necessary, prescribe medication.
