Update: added details for the 15 departments affected by the new advanced curfew hours.
Since December 15, 2020, a curfew is in place in mainland France as part of the fight against the coronavirus pandemic. This curfew wants to prevent the movement of people from evening to morning to limit the spread of the virus. But in case of force majeure, it is possible to travel within this time slot, provided on the one hand to have one of the reasons allowed by the authorities, on the other hand to carry an accompanied travel certificate with you. necessary documents. In this article, here is how to complete and download this certificate on iPhone, in addition to some information on the curfew to fully understand the issues.
What hours for the curfew?
The curfew is therefore in place every day of the week from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Since January 2, however, advanced timetables have been in place in 15 departments: Hautes-Alpes, Alpes-Maritimes, Ardennes, Doubs, Jura, Marne, Haute-Marne, Meurthe-et-Moselle, Meuse, Haute-Saône, Vosges, Territory of Belfort, Moselle, Nièvre and Saône-et-Loire. Here, the curfew therefore begins at 6 p.m. instead of 8 p.m. in the rest of France.
And until when?
The curfew is initially scheduled to last until January 20. But it could obviously be extended if the health situation does not improve by then.
What are the reasons for moving around despite the curfew?
If you have to travel for work, for training, for medical reasons, for family reasons, for a disability issue, for a judicial or administrative summons, for certain cases of general interest missions, for certain cases of transits, or for the needs of pets, in the curfew hours, you must complete the travel certificate provided by the government in addition to justifying the reason as the case may be (employer’s certificate for a professional reason, for example).
How to download the travel certificate?
The travel certificate is to be found at this address. It is available in different formats, PDF, DOC, TEXT, but also in English and in “Easy to read and understand” or FALC language, for people with intellectual disabilities. Note that the certificate can also be written by hand on plain paper.
And on iPhone?
The most practical: via the TousAntiCovid application
As with containment, the official government application TousAntiCovid (available there on the App Store) allows you to generate and record a travel certificate within the framework of the curfew. The complete certificate generation procedure from the app was detailed during the last lockdown here.
Overall the handling is very simple. All you have to do is go to the application to choose the title “Your travel certificates between 8 pm and 6 am” in the “Certificate” section, before filling in your information and the reason.
But also via Safari and the government website
A digital version of the attestation can be completed and downloaded from the iPhone. To do this, follow these steps:
- Open Safari and go to this address
- Fill in all the fields
- Choose the pattern
- Click on “Generate my certificate”
- Press the “Share” icon
- Choose “Save to Files”
Thus, you will find the certificate in the Files app. It will have to be shown to the police in the event of a control, accompanied, depending on the reason, by documents justifying the trip.
Via the Shortcuts app?
Note that we offer an iOS shortcut to generate a PDF certificate with QR code and open it easily. See here to download and install this shortcut, and how to use it.
