A woman revealed that racked up $50,000 in plastic surgery in just six years to look like a Golden Age beauty like Marilyn Monroe, Jayne Mansfield and Anna Nicole Smith.

It’s about the reality TV and music star, Serena Smith, from California, who at just 23 years old, she underwent surgical procedures since she was just a teenager to modify its appearance.

She first went under the knife in December 2016, at just 18 years old, when she underwent breast surgery that cost more than $7,500, going from an A to DD cup.

Cosmetic surgery is part of your life

From there, the gateway to the world of plastic surgery was opened and since then, Serena underwent an $11,000 rhinoplasty to acquire a glamorous “Hollywood nose”, and regularly undergoes less invasive procedures such as Botox and lip fillers.

Serena recently took the plunge and decided to have a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) and chose a reputable surgeon in North America to perform the procedure, leaving her happy with the results.

“I am very happy with the results, I think they turned out great, the surgery completely changed my body proportions and gave me the curvier look I was looking for,” she said.

“You have to be extremely cautious about who you choose to allow to operate on you because you are putting your life in their hands, especially with surgeries like the BBL.

The BBL procedure is the most dangerous plastic surgery with the highest mortality rate, resulting in the death of one in 3,000 patients, according to The American’s 2017 report.

In this surgery, remove fat from areas where it is not wanted, such as the stomach, back, and flanks through liposuction. It is then transplanted to the buttocks and hips, resulting in a curvier hourglass figure.

However, due to the nature of the procedure, fat embolisms, which see fat enter the bloodstream and cause a blockage, are a real risk and are the most common complication.

“The recovery from this procedure is very intense, definitely the hardest so far. You have to wear a compression garment 23 hours a day for two months and it can be quite uncomfortable.”

But the pain or the costs are small things compared to “leading a happier and safer life,” explains the artist.

Serena takes this motto literally and eagerly anticipates her next procedure: a second breast augmentation to increase her chest size, which surely won’t be her last.

I will never stop operating. Once I complete everything I would like to do and am satisfied, I will be happy and content, but once it starts to age, it’s all about maintenance and keeping that youthful look.”

She said that when she reaches a certain age it will be about face lifts and eye lifts, but at the end of the day, all procedures are about feeling empowered.
