IMac “Pro” Display
Ross Young (Display Supply Chain Consultants, DSCC) has just shared his new estimates for the next screens designed by Apple. For starters, the analyst believes that the one of the next iMac – which he calls Pro, like other rumors previously – would be entitled to a diagonal of twenty-seven inches equipped with mini-LED technology.
This is the first time that we hear that such a choice would be made on a desktop computer at Cupertino. It has many advantages, starting with brighter colors and better contrasts. Already seen on the iPad Pro range, this system is particularly eye-catching to the most demanding graphic designers and other high-quality image lovers.
The researcher also adds that this iMac would be entitled to ProMotion, namely a refresh rate with a variable rate of up to one hundred and twenty images per second present in particular on the iPhone 13 Pro Max and on the iPhone 13 Pro. Objective: to save energy, with reduced frequency when there is no need for more. Some also consider this feature to be a good point for gaming, with smoother streaming.
The press release published by Young also recalls that “many rumors”Bet on an iPhone 14 Pro without a notch with a punch instead, but it does not directly confirm the information. However, the expert speaks of a better resolution, which makes sense given that few noticeable changes have taken place on that side lately.
A foldable smartphone would also be in the boxes, but still far from ready for marketing.
iPad and MacBook
Soon OLED for tablets and laptops. As with the other indices, this will only be verified according to the official information which will be shared by the manufacturer.
Apple’s AR headset would have a high price (indeed, other hallway noises are already betting on more than a thousand euros), a consequence of the few anticipated sales according to Young. Figures to be compared with the 2.5 to 3.5 million units sold according to Ming-Chi Kuo.
For Young, the 27-inch iMac Pro would arrive by next spring. The case of 2022 is also mentioned for the augmented reality headset, while the folding panels would not be available for more than a year, or even up to three.
