iOS 15.4 beta 5 (public): what’s new?

iOS 15.4 avec fond multicolore

Last night Apple released the fifth beta version of its new iPhone operating system, iOS 15.4. New betas are also available for iPadOS 15.4, watchOS 8.5, HomePodOS 15.4 and tvOS 15.4. Users enrolled in the public beta program can update their device.

This round of beta news doesn’t seem to bring any major changes from the previous one. These are mostly tweaks and fixes and bugs.

Many new features are on the program for this iOS 15.4, however. It is in particular a question of changes for the Apple AirTag, but also of the possibility of unlocking your iPhone with Face ID and a mask on the face, all without requiring Apple Watch. Wallet (Maps app) should also support European vaccination certificates. Another big addition is the ability to update iOS via 4G or 5G from any iPhone.
