Last night Apple released the 6th beta version of its new operating program for iPhone, iOS 15.4. New betas are also available for iPadOS 15.4, watchOS 8.5, HomePodOS 15.4 and tvOS 15.4. Users enrolled in the public beta program can update their devices.
This series of new test versions does not seem to bring major changes compared to the previous one. These are mostly tweaks and fixes and bugs. Note that this is a question of so-called versions CR (or “Release Candidate”), which are the versions closest to the final versions of the OS. These should therefore not be long in arriving, within a few days, or even next week at the latest.
Many new features are on the menu for iOS 15.4. For example, there are security improvements for Apple AirTags, but also the possibility of unlocking your iPhone with Face ID while wearing a mask, all without requiring Apple Watch. Wallet (Maps application) would also support European vaccination certificates. Another notable change seen is the ability to update any iPhone model via 4G or 5G, not just Wi-Fi.
