Apple has just released a new update for its mobile devices, which fixes two security vulnerabilities majors. The first, discovered by an anonymous cybersecurity researcher, affected all iPhones starting with iPhone 6s, which therefore concerns models available at the moment such as the iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone SE of third generation.
The problem in question is at the kernel level of the operating system or kernel, and allows a would-be attacker to execute code arbitrarily while enjoying full administrator access. According to Cupertino, the flaw has already been exploited by hackers. Unfortunately, the apple firm does not explain to us who is concerned or even which regions.
With this it is also WebKit who was the victim of a similar incident. This free software library allows developers to integrate a browser into their apps, but as we have seen with Instagram and Facebook recently it is quite risky to read web pages this way. Again, malicious Internet users have already taken advantage of the breach according to Apple: it is better to go through Safari or Mozilla Firefox by opening the links externally.
