The 125cc scooters They are the best-selling motorcycles in the Spanish market, with a predominance of models with a more serious cut and design. There are fewer manufacturers that go out of that line and make more sporty and risky proposals, as is the case with the Italjet Dragster.
It is an iconic name that during the 1990s was widely recognized among sport scooters of the time and that in the past EICMA Milan 2021 Italjet confirmed that it would be revived as a production model.
One of its main arguments is a much more aggressive image than is customary in the segment. Both for the angular front and for the voluminous exhaust or the design of the wheels, going through the contrast with the minimalist and almost non-existent dome. And, above all, for the trellis frame in sight, which depending on the color combination is really striking.
The 125cc and 200cc variants they are aesthetically identical and even share the same engine, a four-stroke single-cylinder block, with electronic injection and water-cooled. However, in the first version the power stays at 13 hp, while in the second it reaches 18hp.
In addition, the manufacturer has already announced an extensive catalog of pieces focused on increasing performance of the scooter, especially with a view to entering the circuit, and that would take the variants up to 15 and 20 CV, respectively. The offer includes Brembo brakes, Öhlins shock absorbers or an Akrapovič exhaust, among others.
2022 will be an important year for both the brand and the model, as the Italjet Dragster #e01, the first electric from the manufacturer. It has been confirmed that it will use a motor with a maximum power of 16 CV (12 kW), although the nominal one is 8 CV (6kW), which equivalent to a 125cc motorcycle and it will allow you to reach a larger public, since you can drive with the B car license.
