Keynote on March 16? It’s no for Mark Gurman

Conférence publique

Bloomberg specialist Mark Gurman wants to bury all rumors that Apple is planning a video event next March 16. In one of his last tweets, he indeed declared that no Keynote would take place on this date, contrary to what affirms information released yesterday by the Korean newspaper Economic Daily News.

According to Gurman, therefore, no conference would take place on March 16, 2021, nor even any announcement of a new Apple product by simple press release.

On the other hand, as he clarified in another tweet, he only refers to the date of March 16. It therefore does not exclude the possibility of an event or a product release on another date during the next month.

Apple has accustomed us for several years now to a end of winter / beginning of spring event. This was the case in 2019 (March 25), with a keynote announcing the Apple Card, Apple Arcade and Apple TV + services, but also in 2018 (March 27), with a special education keynote that saw the birth of the iPad from 6th generation. In 2016, the March conference was notable with the presentation of the first iPhone SE of the name. Ditto in 2015, with the March keynote unveiling the very first generation Apple Watch.

In addition, several Apple products are expected for a near launch, including the AirTags object tracker, a new iPad Pro or a new iPad mini.

So, among you, who is in the “keynote in March” camp and who is in the “no keynote in March” camp?
