During a digital event, Kia announced a few hours ago more details of its new medium-term project. Supported by a new corporate slogan, »Movement that inspires», Kia revealed new details of a strategy with which the company will go beyond the manufacture of vehicles to create sustainable mobility solutions for its customers.
Kia focuses on popularizing the battery electric vehicles (BEV) and will strengthen its global product range with the introduction of seven new specific BEVs, until 2027. These new models will include passenger cars, SUVs and minivans in various segments. They will be based on the new Global Modular Electric Platform (E-GMP) for Hyundai Motor Group.
The demand for PBV is projected to increase fivefold by 2030 due to the rapid and sustained growth of e-commerce and car-sharing services.
To start the year, Kia will bring us the new Sorento Plug-in Hybrid PHEV accompanied by the arrival of the Kia Stonic facelift, a model that will arrive with many new features, microhybridized versions and a new GT Line finish that will give the model a very enriching sporty look.
The second quarter of the year will be very flat but by the third quarter the Kia Ceed facelift, a generation that has worked very well within the brand and that has brought great satisfaction to the manufacturer and its owners.
The fourth quarter of the year will probably be the most important for the manufacturer and is that we will meet the first 100% electric model from the Korean manufacturer, a model that will be presented with a new platform, a range of more than 500 km and all this packaged in a model of segment D or higher, with SUV format.
