Kymco launches its first SUV-style scooter


It was only a matter of time before the SUV fashion reached the two-wheel market. Honda was the first to explore it with its X-ADV, and recently applied it to the mid-range with the ADV350. Now kimco introduces a rival to the Japanese model with the DTXwhich will be available from March on 125 and 350cc versions. Their prices have not yet been announced.

The brand has made a move in the market and has made the decision to replace its best-selling model, the Super Dink (65,000 units in Spain since 2009), for this newly minted scooter, with a more country image and, according to the firm, with the possibility of even ride on tracks in good condition.

The model offers a robust look with a two-tone fairing and mounts tires designed to leave the asphalt (14 inches in front and 13 behind). It reaches 2.16 meters in length and has a large seat for the pilot and co-pilot, under which, in addition, they fit two full face helmets.

The Kymco DTX employs a steel frame, a hydraulic telescopic front fork with a diameter of 37 millimeters and 110 millimeters of travel, and a double shock absorber with adjustable preload in 5 positions with 100 millimeters of travel at the rear.
