We already told you a few weeks ago that Suzuki would present us the new Suzuki S-Cross at the end of this year. Prepared to make his first official appearance on November 25, a few hours ago the first images of the Suzuki S-Cross 2022 uncovered were leaked. Let’s see what you think of the new generation of the model
The new Suzuki S-Cross will arrive at the end of this year. It will do so accompanied by many improvements in security, connectivity, design and technology. From the brand they have confirmed that it will not be a restyling, but a totally new model with part of the philosophy of the current generation, but with big and showy changes.
In the aesthetic section, the model has the same single-volume design, but incorporates a more angular style. Up front, the LED headlights are inspired by the Indian-bound XL6, while the grille is larger and reaches lower into the bumper. In addition, we see a protective plate and a plastic coating.
The ascending line of the side windows has an evolutionary shape; while the muscular wheel arches and huge taillights protruding from the rear make it clear that this is a completely new model. It will offer a great distance to the ceiling in the passenger compartment, a more than generous trunk and spacious and comfortable rear seats.
What else do we know about the Suzuki S-Cross 2022?
At its core, the new S-Cross is a family-oriented SUV that ranks above the Vitara. In the technological section, we expect a increased safety and assistance systems for driving as well as the greatest possible connectivity. This means that elements such as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto serial.
To date, the Suzuki s-cross that is marketed has always been equipped with the 1.4 Turbo engine associated with a SHVS micro-hybrid system with 129 HP of power. Until now, it could be associated with the six-speed manual transmission exclusively but since the beginning of this year it added an automatic transmission with six relationships, and with front or all-wheel drive.
The truth is that the brand itself has told us that nor we should expect big changes regarding motorization. We understand that the engine will have a little more refinement, lower consumption and perhaps a little more power. Regarding microhybridization, we assume that this will improve and that the model will be able to maintain its appreciated ECO sticker.
True to its tradition as a brand, the new Suzuki S-Cross will continue to have the traction system All-Grip as well as generous ground clearance that will make it one of the most interesting models in its segment.
