On Wednesday, July 8, the Glee actress was declared missing, since after going sailing with his son only his body was found inside the boat. The boy was asleep and was wearing his life jacket. His mother saved him and in doing so he lost all his strength, which is why he was no longer able to get on the boat, according to the authorities.
Josey has explained to the authorities what he remembers what happened on July 8 at the lake. It is believed that while the minor was swimming with his mother, a strong current carried them away, and that Naya used all her strength to get Josey to the boat and get him to safety. However, she no longer had enough energy to get on the boat.
Yesterday, July 13, the body of the actress was found and it was confirmed that her death was by drowning.
“It was found in the northeast part of the lake, near the surface of the water. The depth in this area is 35 to 65 feet. There are lots of branches and trees underneath, ”said County Sheriff Bill Ayub.
“We think it was mid-afternoon when he disappeared, our idea is that perhaps the boat was adrift. Naya gathered enough energy to carry her son back to the boat, but not enough to save herself.“Sheriff Bill Ayub said during the press conference.
Little Josey also told the authorities that after his mother put him on the boat, he turned to see her and only saw how she plunged back into the water.. Authorities point out that Naya’s body was possibly stuck in the bushes and branches in the lake.
