Less than a month after the death of Naya Rivera, her ex-husband Ryan Dorsey, broke the silence and spoke of the painful moment she is going through for the loss. Through an emotional publication on Instagram, the actor said that he still cannot believe what happened and said: “Life is not fair.”
“You were right here. We were in the back swimming with Josey the day before. Life just isn’t fair. I don’t know what to say. I am grateful for our times and our journey that brought us together and gave us the sweetest and most intelligent child that we could wait, “Dorsey said in a message that accompanied with a photo of the actress hugging the son they have in common, in a sunset in nature.
The “Glee” star sadly lost her life after drowning in a California lake after taking a boat ride with her four-year-old son. She disappeared on July 8 and after an intense search by the authorities her body was found on July 13 confirming the worst news. Fortunately, the boy was saved and, according to what he could declare, the police believe that Rivera used every last breath to save her son, but she was unable to get out of the water.
After the death confirmation of the 37-year-old artist, coworkers, family members and even Dorsey himself approached Piru Lake (where he disappeared) to remember her and pay tribute, but until now the actor had not spoken.
The Hollywood couple ended in 2018 after four years of a stormy and troubled marriage that included an incident in 2017 in which Naya ended up arrested for domestic assault.
