During the past month of January new vehicle registrations in Chile registered a significant decrease of 22.2% compared to the same month of the previous year until reaching a total volume of 24,984 units delivered to new users.
This total includes both commercials and conventional passenger cars (9,151) and crossovers (9,569) which are the vehicles that we usually include in the different rankings. Knowing this, it can be said that the decline in the passenger vehicle market remains at 21.2%.

Start 2021 with the Chevrolet Sail leading and taking the top spot from Suzuki baleno, a super-seller in this market. Very good the MG ZS which remains one of the most demanded products and which managed to close 2020 as the best-selling model in Chile.
Chinese products already enjoy an excellent share in the Chilean market and that is why many firms try to win over the public with their most modern vehicles. Jetour has recently entered with the X70 that stands out for its value for money and Chery just launched the Tiggo2 updated to continue increasing its figures in the country. Meanwhile, the Europeans try to show off their manufacturing quality to capture the public’s attention.
