What happened last January in Israel regarding new vehicle registrations is worthy of study. With the country confined, the economic recession in full swing and the limitation of personal movement, a sales record has been achieved by reaching the 48,242 units which represents an increase of 15.7%.
January is usually a good month for car sales given that users in Israel tend to reduce their purchases in the last quarter to purchase their new vehicle in the new year (something that guarantees a higher residual value, a situation that also happens in Spain ). The curious thing in this 2021 has been that the confinement has not caused any problem to increase the registrations, with many purchases made over the phone.

The Toyota Corolla It has managed to open the year in the same way that it closed it and it is leading quite comfortably thanks to a varied offer. The Hyundai ioniq deserves special mention for not being particularly far behind with a single body variant while the affordable Kia picanto it continues to be the urban preferred by users.
Other outstanding models in January have been the Chevrolet Spark, SEAT Ibiza, Renault Mégane (with an incredible rise), Subaru Forester, Mazda CX-5 and the little Hyundai Venue that coexists without problems with the Kona. On the opposite side are the bad data of the Hyundai Accent, SEAT Leon, VW Golf, Honda Jazz, Suzuki S-Cross, etc.
