The GMC Sierra 1500 2022 comes with an updated design, an improved interior, and cutting-edge technology. It will arrive in American dealerships in the first quarter of next year and will do so with two additional new finishes, the Denali Ultimate and AT4X. Prices start at $ 32,495 and go up to € 80,395 in the case of the new Denali Ultimate.
Aesthetically we can find new rim colors and designs. On the front, a revised grille and more curved lines stand out. At its ends are integrated new LED headlights with daytime running lights, which have a less pronounced C-shape. The new Sierra also boasts a revised bumper and more discreet fog lights.
The changes to the cabin are less pronounced for the Access Pro trim, but SLE models and above have a completely new interior that is much more exclusive and luxurious. There is a new group of digital instruments from 12.3 inch, as well as an information and entertainment system of 13.4 inch with Google integrated.
Nor are they missing Amazon Alexa, Apple CarPlay wireless and Android Auto. The pick up wears a new center console with a relocated gear lever on models equipped with individual front seats. The equipment is top-notch and there are higher-quality materials, especially in the top-of-the-range models.

In addition to the unique equipment, the Denali Ultimate comes standard with the Super Cruise semi-autonomous drive system and a comfort-focused suspension with adaptive ride control. To this is added a 6.2-liter V8 what produces 426 hp (309 kW) and 624 Nm of maximum torque. It has all-wheel drive and a 10-speed automatic transmission.
The finish AT4X boosts the Sierra’s off-road capability. It features Multimatic DSSV spool valve dampers and unique springs that give the model an additional 25-50mm of suspension travel. Nor is there a lack of underbody guards and 18-inch wheels with Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac Mud-Terrain tires.
It adopts a number of features shared with the Denali Ultimate in terms of equipment, including the V8 engine. For the rest of the range, the turbocharged block of 2.7-liter four-cylinder improved that delivers 314 hp (231 kW) and 569 Nm of pair. It is associated with the eight-speed automatic transmission and can tow 4,354 kg.
The engine follows 3.0-liter Duramax turbodiesel. Develop 281 hp (207 kW) and 623 Nm of torque, being able to tow up to 5,987 kg. The previous 4.3-liter V6 is gone, but we still find the mighty 5.3-liter V8 with 360 hp (265 kW) and 519 Nm of pair. The icing on the cake is a suite of optimized driver assistance systems.
