The social network Twitter has made sure that the user at the initiative of the Twitter Space can moderate the discussions when necessary. Thus, he can suppress the sound of a speaker, withdraw his speech or even banish him from the space if he does not respect the rules.
Do Twitter Spaces have captions?
Any subscriber can view subtitles of audio conversations at any time. To do this, it is sufficient that the functionality is activated in the settings of the Twitter Space. The only condition to see the subtitles appear: that the creator of the Twitter Space has activated them.

- Have the Twitter app on Android or iOS and updated
- Long press the button to tweet
- Select “Spaces”
- Write a name for the space.
When the space is created, it is possible at any time to modify its name as well as its description, even when the discussion is active.
When the space is first created, the microphone is automatically disabled. Remember to activate it by pressing the microphone at the bottom left of the screen.
Then, in order to configure certain options, you have to go to the horizontal menu which is made up of three small dots and select “Adjust the parameters” in order to activate or not the subtitles during the discussion. It is also possible to reduce the Twitter Space by clicking on the small down arrow located above the name of the space.
To be able to invite participants to the Twitter Space, there are several possibilities:
- Send an invitation by private message on Twitter
- Tweet the Twitter Space link on the profile
- Share the link on other social networks by clicking on “Share” on the interface
Twitter offers the possibility of scheduling a Twitter Space for a later date. To do this, simply select “Schedule for later” and choose the desired date and time.
