Oreo celebrates its 110th anniversary with new limited-edition cookie and merch

Oreo is celebrating its 110th anniversary with a new cookie flavor and a limited edition merch collection which includes t-shirts, sweatshirts, joggers and footwear.

The new Oreos are called Chocolate Confetti Cake. These chocolate cookies are the classic Oreo cookies but with a twist. They are double stuffed.one cream flavored with chocolate cake and the other cream has its characteristic flavor. They are also sprinkled with colored sprinkles inside and on the cookie.

Oreo turns 110 on March 6, but the limited edition holiday cookie is now on sale on their website and in retail stores it will be available from January 31.

America’s favorite cookie was first sold on that date in 1912 by the National Biscuit Company to a grocery store in Hoboken, New Jersey.

“For more than a century, Oreo has provided fun and playful experiences for fans and we will continue to do so as we celebrate our 110th birthday,” said Sydney Kranzmann, Oreo US brand manager.

Kranzmann also said that its 110th anniversary celebration is inspired by the magical moment of birthdays that spans generations and cultures. “When you close your eyes, blow out the candles and make a wish.”

Oreo fans can also purchase clothing and sneakers

Clothing brand Champion has teamed up with Oreo to launch a limited edition merchandising collection in honor of the cookies’ 110th birthday.

The collection includes several Champion garments with the “Reverse Weave” feature. There are t-shirts, sweatshirts, joggers, shoes and sandals in colors and prints alluding to Oreo cookies.

Limited-edition apparel and footwear is on sale at Champion.com and FootLocker.com. The price range is from $35 to $80. There is a variety of unisex designs and in sizes from XS to 2XL.
