Although the acronym GTS – Gran Turismo Sport- have generally been linked to very sporty gasoline models, in reference to the 1963 Porsche 904 Carrera GTSThese three letters have always had a special meaning for Porsche fans and now that electrification is here, the brand does not want to disappoint and that is why it has presented us with the Porsche Taycan GTS.
At Los Angeles Auto Show, Porsche presents a new version of its electric sports vehicle with the acronym GTS. This model is the first Taycan to overcome the barrier of 500 kilometers of autonomySpecifically, up to 504 km according to the WLTP homologation figures.
The Taycan GTS Sport Turismo shares its sporty silhouette and rear-sloping roofline with the Taycan Cross Turismo. Available in sedan and estate versions, the model sits somewhere in the middle of the range, above the Taycan 4S and below the Taycan Turbo.
The Taycan GTS boasts an impressive 598 hp (440 kW) with overboost when using Launch Control and accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in 3.7 seconds, with either of the two bodies. The maximum speed of both is 250 km / h.
On the outside we find numerous details finished in a dark or black tone, such as the front apron, the base of the exterior mirrors and the frame of the side windows, as is the tradition in all GTSs. In the cabin, the black Race-Tex fabric and the brushed aluminum pack with an anodized black finish underline the elegance and dynamism of the model.
The final prices in Spain of the Taycan GTS and the Taycan GTS Sport Turismo are 135,264 and 136,232 euros, respectively.
