Apple has formalized the launch date of its new watch, the Apple Watch Series 7. It will be the Friday October 8 for starting pre-orders. The following Friday, October 15, the first Apple Watch Series 7 will be delivered, while they will also be available in stores.
This Friday, therefore, pre-orders will begin at 2 p.m. French time. We will be sure to remind you of this launch in the morning, so you can prepare for the purchase of one of Apple’s new watches to try to be among the first to receive it at home.
Recall that the new generation of watch was presented during the back-to-school keynote last September, which also saw Apple unveil its new iPhone 13, a new iPad and a new iPad mini. We therefore already know the new features of the 2021 watch: more edge-to-edge design with slightly larger screen than on previous generations, improved water resistance (IP6X), new colors, new exclusive dials and even exclusive watchOS features, such as a full keyboard allowing you to type messages with your finger directly on the screen.
There are also new bracelets as well as new Hermès versions at the rendezvous.
If you have the Series 6, the Series 7 doesn’t seem like a major update. This is also the case with the iPhone 13, if you have an iPhone 12. On the other hand, if you have a Series 5 or older watch, the switch to Series 7 will be interesting, with the gain of the blood oxygen level sensor, the gain of a new processor chip, but also the gain of the UWB U1 chip and an improved heart sensor.
Who among you is planning to pre-order the Apple Watch Series 7 among you?
