At the same time as the third public betas of watchOS 9, iPadOS 16 and iOS 16, Apple has just deployed betas 3 of macOS Ventura and tvOS 16. On the menu, the publisher does not indicate no additional functionality but rather a string of bug fixes. However, sometimes some changes are not announced, do not hesitate to share them with us if you have noticed any.
The advantage of a public beta version is to solve certain technical problems reported by the very first testers, developers having had access to it upstream. Thanks to the proprietary app Feedback, however you can also report incidents to Apple. You will then be asked to provide as many details as possible so that its technical teams can take care of them as quickly as possible.
Installing macOS Ventura beta 3 will first require you to have the compatible hardware. To do this, we invite you to consult our dedicated list based on official information communicated by Apple during the Worldwide Developer Conference. It was during this event that we were able to discover all the new features of the operating system, which will be available later in the year in its final version.
Regarding tvOS 16 beta 3, know that Apple TV HD and Apple TV 4K are both compatible. We also imagine that the HomePod and HomePod mini connected speakers will be able to access a beta 3 in the next few hours, if this is not already the case.
What’s up with Ventura?
If the additional options arrived with tvOS 16 are relatively minor, this is not the case with macOS 13 (Ventura). Indeed, this version makes for example the search with spotlight more efficient and is equipped with the tool Camera Continuity which uses the back photo sensor of your iPhone 13 Pro to replace the FaceTime HD lens on MacBook Pro. For more on all the new features announced for macOS 13, this in-depth roundup from WWDC walks you through it all with screenshots for illustration.
The public version, meanwhile, should arrive on your computers during the month ofoctober when new models could also be presented.
