During the past year 2020 new vehicle registrations in Spain registered a significant drop of 32.3% Compared to the previous year, a decrease caused by the health crisis that has left the total volume at 851,211 units delivered to users.
By types of fuel, the Spanish have opted for gasoline engines in a large majority, achieving 49.8% share (423,579 units). The diesels for their part were satisfied with 27.7% (235,890 units). We must also mention 17,925 electric, 23,301 PHEV hybrids, 137,425 simple hybrids, 13,084 gas and 7 hydrogen.
By brands there are some that managed to improve their figures, highlighting DFSK (+ 71.0%), Lotus (+ 150%) and DR which remains stable although they improve on very low figures
