In recent days Sofía Aragón received strong criticism after commenting on the case of Debanhi Escobar, so now the host of Venga La Alegría decided to break the silence and respond to all those who, for one reason or another, attacked her in the social media.
Aragón pointed out that one of the comments that impacted her the most after commenting on the Debanhi case through her social networks was one in which an Internet user claimed that she could not comment on the femicides because “she was pretty.”
The presenter mentioned that it is extremely important that everyone, from their trenches, raise their voices for those women who were victims of violence and who, unfortunately, are no longer here to tell about it. Finally, the model made it clear that she wanted to give Debanhi a voice with the comments she made during the morning broadcast.
“I’m not so worried about attacks, I usually don’t read them or don’t take the time to answer them; however, I think this time it was necessary. Not because of the attack on me, but because of a woman attacking another woman regarding this issue,” she commented. “The specific comment was ‘I should not talk about this issue of femicide, violence against women, another woman who is a pretty face because she doesn’t know anything about it,'” he added.
