Urban motorcycles are the perfect base to implement electrical mechanics and the Chinese manufacturer Super Soco wants to demonstrate this with the Super Soco CT, a electric maxi scooter equivalent to a 250cc model that was unveiled at Auto Chongqing 2021.
The Super Soco model, which will require the A2 license, features a burly design, with a large frontal shield which should offer good protection against the air to the pilot, even despite opting for a short screen. The front panel integrates two slim LED headlights. The seat has capacity for two people, with side handles for the passenger, while in the rear the headlight is quite minimalist.
The control panel is made up of a seven inch screen that can connect with the mobile using a app to share some functions. It shows information related to speed, remaining battery or the chosen driving mode, in addition to displaying navigation maps.
The commitment to technology is clear, with elements as interesting as the front and rear cameras, that are in charge of detecting the dangers that surround the motorcycle, or a facial recognition system to unlock the vehicle.
The Chinese firm has revealed that there will be three versions available (CT1, CT2 and CT3), but has only revealed the technical data of the top-of-the-range variant, the CT3. Develops a power of up to 18 kW (25 hp) and 71 Nm of maximum torque, allowing you to ride at speeds up to 125 km / h.
It mounts a 7.2 kWh capacity battery and anticipates a range of about 180 kilometers. In addition, it will be compatible with fast charging systems, with which it will be completely refilled in three hours.
The price of the Super Soco CT has not been revealed, which at first will be for sale only in China, but later it should reach the rest of the markets. The brand already markets many of its models in Spain.
