During the past years 2020 new vehicle registrations in Hungary registered a relatively moderate decline of 18.7% compared to the year 2019 caused by the health crisis until reaching a total volume of 128,031 units delivered to new users.
The registrations of electric vehicles did have a good year thanks to the incentives, achieving a share of 2.4% and a total volume of 3,046 units. It is a shame that the government has not presented an alternative incentive plan with a larger budget since the initial one was sold out in just 24 hours.
