With $ 17.5 billion in revenue in the second quarter of 2021, services now represent Apple’s most prolific business line behind iPhones and ahead of connected objects. It is probably to continue its progress in this direction that the manufacturer recently updated its website, with the arrival of an Apple Exclusives tab.
Under it, there are several links that redirect to the various online platforms of Cupertino, including the catalog of TV + series, Apple Arcade games, Apple Music, iCloud or even Apple Podcasts. The address of the page is elsewhere apple.com/services. This is also where you can find information about Apple Pay, the iPhone’s NFC payment system.
A new “AirPods” space
In sixth position of this new menu, now much longer and written in fly paws, we also find access to the four AirPods models now available. These are the second generation AirPods, the version announced Monday night, AirPods Max and AirPods Pro. Note that the very first version of the headphones is therefore no longer sold by Apple, even if it is still possible to find it at third-party resellers.
Recall that after the iPhone, the AirPods represent to date the most popular range of products at Apple. Wearables come in third place in terms of its revenue share, also counting on the success of the Watch.
“TV & home”
To the detriment of the Music section which has disappeared from the Apple site, the new “TV & Home” category lists all the devices that are installed in the living room or in the heart of a family multimedia center. We therefore find the entry-level Apple TV and the Apple TV 4K with its Siri Remote, next to which the words “New”Has surprisingly disappeared when it is indeed the last model.
The HomePod mini, the Home app and a button redirecting to related accessories is finally located on the right of this section.
