BYD’s offer for the Spanish market has just been enriched with the arrival of the little Dolphin, an interesting B-segment vehicle that plays on its attractive design and the practicality of its minivan body to get the attention of users.
At 4.15 meters in length, the BYD Dolphin has a size very similar to that of a SEAT Arona or a Hyundai Kona although with a much more generous 2.7 meter wheelbase that allows it to boast a much more spacious interior in all seats.
The only motorization available is 100% electric with a power of 177 CV and a maximum speed limited to 160 km / h. The battery has a capacity of 44.5 kWh and declares a range of 405 km according to the NEDC cycle that will be a more realistic 300-310 km according to the WLTP cycle (to be confirmed).
The new BYD Dolphin comes standard with the LED headlights, cruise control and speed limiter, a huge central display up to 12 inches, digital instrumentation, automatic climate control, interior LED pack, rear camera, sound system with access to applications, parking sensors, alloy wheels, etc.
The new BYD Dolphin is marketed through the New Energy Mobility distribution network for a suggested price of € 33,500, not including any discounts or direct aid for the purchase. It is therefore a very reasonable option within the electric B-SUV segment although it is true that the MG ZS EV 2022 has better sales arguments and a lower price.
