The range of Cupra Formentor has just been completed at last in the Spanish market with the incorporation of the most powerful plug-in hybrid motorization. A little later, another PHEV variant will also be offered but with lower benefits and a much more attractive price.
At the moment the PHEV offer is reduced to the Formentor VZ with the 1.4 TSI block that in combination with an electric motor develops a total power of 245 HP. It is combined with a six-speed dual-clutch transmission and a lithium-ion battery with 13 kWh capacity that gives it a range of more than 50 km.
According to approved data the new alternative reaches a maximum speed of 210 km / h and declares an average consumption of 1.5 L / 100 according to the WLTP regulations (with emissions of 33 g / km of CO2). Traction is always to the front axle since only the versions with power greater than 300 CV will have the total, at least for the moment.
The Cupra Formentor VZ eHybrid comes standard with Full LED headlights, dynamic indicators, adaptive cruise control, traffic sign reader, pre-collision warning, lane change alert, fatigue and pedestrian detector, hill start assistant, electric handbrake, parking sensors, etc.
Also standard are the 3-zone automatic climate control, multimedia system with color screen, bluetooth, USB, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, keyless access and start, folding mirrors, 230v socket, automatic gate, DAB radio, piloted suspension, charging cable, etc.
