During the first half of September: this is the date Mark Gurman for the next Apple Event, where we look forward to discovering the iPhone 14 range and several versions of the Apple Watch Series 8. The journalist from Bloomberg has just affirmed it in its usual weekly newsletter, power-onfree and sometimes with some additional clues on paid access.
According to Gurman, filming for this event has already begun in Cupertino. This therefore means that, as with the Worldwide Developer Conference and previous conferences for nearly three years, everything will happen online and the public will have to settle for a video. During the WWDC however, the public had indeed been invited to Apple Park but there too they had faced a simple screen…
The products of the next keynote
Unsurprisingly, Gurman sees the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro land for the occasion with a screen always-on (“always on”). The more expensive editions would also have a better camera and a smaller notch, but this information is not new. The design, meanwhile, will be similar to the one we currently know with the iPhone 13 and iPhone 12.
As for the Apple Watch Series 8, expect the integration of a body temperature sensor but again without change in overall appearance. The main novelty, a ferocious version of the Series 8 capable of withstanding shocks and the vagaries of the weather even during extreme sports sessions, would also benefit from a larger capacity battery and a titanium chassis.
October for iPads and Macs
Finally, Gurman also mentions the case of a second keynote organized this time in october. Apple would then present its iPad, their operating system being a few weeks late because of concerns encountered by the Stage Manager functionality. At the same time, Mac computers would emerge with perhaps a Mac mini and MacBook Pros.
Logically, it is also estimated that Apple will record this event upstream. When will we return to face-to-face meetings?
