Apple’s last Keynote was an opportunity to present several products long awaited by the public. This is particularly the case with AirPods 3 which includes several welcome features, including Space Audio. The Cupertino company has also unveiled new colors for the HomePod Mini, or Voice Plan, an option soon available in France that allows you to directly control Apple Music using Siri.
21 hours of movie playback on the 16-inch
But most of the public’s attention has been on the two new MacBook Pro models. They are equipped with incredibly efficient M1 Pro and M1 Max chips. We also remember that in addition to these improved performance, the two new computers have a significantly greater autonomy than the old models equipped with Intel chips.
Thus, the 14-inch MacBook Pro offers up to 17 hours of movie playback on Apple TV and up to 11 hours of web browsing. On the other hand, we note that if the performance of the two new devices is generally equivalent to that of those equipped with M1 chips, they do not quite equal the latter, which offer up to 20 hours of movie playback.
As for the 16-inch MacBook Pro, the results also make the competition blush. They allow up to 21 hours of movie playback and up to 14 hours of web browsing. The equivalent for a 16-inch computer on an Intel chip was 11 hours of movie playback and 11 hours of web use.
In detail, the Apple brand specifies that the 14-inch MacBook Pro is equipped with a 70 watt-hour lithium-polymer battery, while the 16-inch incorporates a 100 watt-hour battery. The 16-inch MacBook Pro has a 140W AC adapter, while the 14-inch has a 67W adapter.
