There is already a date for the commercialization of the fourth generation of the SEAT León on Mexican soil. The Spanish firm has indicated that it will be from March 16 when deliveries of the new compact start that will try to win back users with the hatchback.
The new generation of the SEAT León will be marketed in two trim levels, Style and FR, and in combination with two gasoline engines that will start at 150 hp to guarantee very good performance from the access model. The best-selling version they assume will be the 2.0 TSI of 190 CV. Both versions have a DSG box although the one with less power could add a manual if there is demand.
The Style completion level will already have a full complement that will include LED headlights, speed limiter and control, trip computer, multimedia system with touch screen, lane departure alert, six airbags, electric parking brake, four electric windows and push button start.
Also standard will be the two-zone automatic climate control, folding rear seat, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, bluetooth, automatic lights on, rain sensor, chrome details, tinted windows, electric mirrors, hill start assistant, etc.
The FR variant will also add the Smart Full LED headlights, dynamic turn signals, sport suspension, exterior sports package, larger wheels, gray accents, sports seats, configurable digital instrumentation, multimedia system with 10-inch screen, etc.
The equipment data for now are to be confirmed and it will not be until the moment of its commercialization when the exact detail is indicated. The prices are not known either, but the Spanish firm should start the rates at 390,000 pesos to be competitive, about € 15,920 at the current exchange rate.
