These days the marketing of the new Nissan Townstar starts in Spain, an interesting light commercial that is launched both in Combi versions and in the more practical Van. For now they can only be purchased with a gasoline engine.
Developed in collaboration with Renault, Nissan’s new Townstar has many points in common with the latest installment of the Renault Kangoo and also with the Mercedes Citan / Class T. To differentiate the three models, each brand has redesigned the front, and a little the interior.
The first units that arrive in Spain do so with 130 hp 1.3 TCe engine in combination with a six-speed manual gearbox. Later an option with 115 hp and a 100% electric motorization of medium autonomy should be added.
All Combi versions arriving in Spain include the LED headlights, lane alert and assist, pre-collision warning, automatic city braking, fatigue and pedestrian detector, 360º vision system, traffic signal reader, SmartBeam, towing and crosswind assistant, etc.
In comfort they can also equip automatic climate control, integrated navigation system, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, adaptive cruise control, trip computer, multifunction leather steering wheel, photosensitive interior mirror, central armrest, etc.
The Japanese firm has announced that the new Townstar can now be reserved at Spanish dealers with prices starting at € 17,110 excluding taxes (PFF price) for the most affordable van. They come with a 5-year or 160,000 km warranty.
