The SEAT Ibiza 2022 has taken a little longer than necessary to land in the Mexican market and due to the lack of stock of the previous one in that market, sales during January fell notably to worrying levels with just over four hundred units –more details here-.
From this week those interested in the renewed SEAT Ibiza 2022 will be able to formalize the orders and the first units should be ready for March. All the units arrive directly to the country from the Spanish plant in Martorell and stand out for their complete complement.
In Mexico, from the basic Reference level, they include as standard the LED headlights, light alloy wheels, air conditioning, trip computer, multimedia system with 8.25-inch screenbluetooth, USB, folding rear seat, six airbags, alarm, etc.
In the Style the sliding panoramic sunroof is added, Fog lights, 16-inch alloy wheels, tinted windows, leather steering wheel and gear knobdual automatic climate control, light and rain sensor, multimedia system with 9.2-inch screen, cruise control, etc.
Those who opt for the Xcellence finish will get a unit with chrome details, Full LED headlights, 17-inch alloy wheelskeyless access, button start, interior LED pack, rear parking sensors, specific upholstery, etc.
Finally, the FR level includes the exterior sports package as standard, sports suspension, driving mode selector, configurable digital instrumentationinduction mobile charger, front parking sensors, more enveloping seats, etc.
In a first commercial stage they can only be acquired with the 1.6 MPI engine with 110 hp in combination with a five-speed manual gearbox or with the six-speed automatic transmission called Tiptronic. It is a sufficient block in performance and sensible consumption.
A little later, once the current problem is solved due to lack of parts, the 110 hp 1.0 TSI will be joined in combination with a six-speed manual gearbox and perhaps the firm will also take the opportunity to add the automatic gearbox in this alternative. At the moment the SEAT Ibiza 2022 is already on sale in Mexico from 299,900 pesos, about €12,953 at the current exchange rate.
