The SsangYong Korando will have a 100% electric version on the European market before the end of the year. According to the latest information, in 2021 the first units of the “e-Motion” variants will be available in both the Netherlands and the United Kingdom.
The first electric vehicle marketed by the South Korean firm in Europe will have a mechanic under the hood with 190 hp of power in combination with a 61.5 kWh battery capacity that will allow you to declare a range of 339 km according to the WLTP homologation cycle.
Aesthetically the new model will be recognized by the specific front grill, the side loading socket, the exclusive design bumpers and the absence of exhaust pipes. Some details in blue are also exclusive to this new model that should conquer users who are looking for a very spacious electric.
For now we do not have more information about the model and it seems that things could get complicated now that it has been confirmed that SsangYong will be purchased by Edison Motors this October, ceasing to be part of the Mahindra & Mahindra Group. In this new stage they will focus on electric cars.
