Since then, the whole country has mobilized to help these unfortunate people. President Joe Biden has pledged federal government help to save those affected and support reconstruction.

For his part, Tim Cook also wanted to react this Saturday by means of a tweet. He notably promised:

We are wholeheartedly with all who have been affected by the harsh weather and devastating tornadoes in the South and Midwest. Apple will make donations to support relief efforts on the ground.

For now, we do not yet know the exact amount that the Cupertino company will devote to help the victims. Either way, this isn’t the first time Apple has decided to put its hand in its pocket when a natural disaster hits America.

Last August, the company had already announced its support following Hurricane Ida which hit Louisiana. The tech giant had also intervened a few days earlier during the violent earthquake in Haiti. At that time, Tim Cook also wanted to express his solidarity: “ Our hearts are with all those in Haiti who are once again facing the consequences of a devastating earthquake “.

Finally, in 2020, the apple brand also helped the population of Beirut hard hit by an explosion at the port. An event that claimed many lives and hit the economy of Lebanon.
