Food, especially some vegetables, can lose their properties if cooked. However, there are others that are much better when consumed once cooked. So what is the best way to take advantage of the food we eat? Here we tell you.

Cooked food

The foods whose nutrients are best obtained are cooked. Among this group are asparagus, carrots and tomatoes. The benefits of cooking them is that they take advantage of the antioxidant agents that help the body so much.

In the case of asparagus, ferulic acid is obtained if cooked; beta-carotene from carrots is also best obtained by cooking.

The food battle cooked vs. raw generates some controversy because there are those who prefer one over others, but the truth is that you can make a combination of both to get the most out of food.

On the other hand, those who are on a diet find it better to eat raw fruits and some vegetables to increase the feeling of satiety, since they contain more water and are more voluminous.

In short, it is impossible to judge between cooked foods vs. raw as each of them has benefits in both natural and prepared state. The good thing is that there are hundreds of recipes that can be combined and give you preference to prepare various types of food in the natural state or cooked.
