Will the MacBook Air redesign happen in 2022?

For a few months now, specialists have been wondering if Apple will release its MacBook Air, provisionally nicknamed “2022”, this year. In any case, this is what the often well-informed expert on the apple brand, Ming-Chi Kuo, predicts. According to him, the new laptop will enter its production phase during the second quarter before a release during the third quarter of 2022.

No new 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pros this year?

In its weekly newsletter Power on Bloomberg, journalist Mark Gurman also ventured into the game of predictions. According to him, this redesign of the MacBook Air was even scheduled for the end of 2021, or even the beginning of 2022. However, the Cupertino company has failed to keep its plans and should therefore opt for a launch which will take place during the third or the fourth quarter this year.

This new laptop should include new color options and the M2 chip. A design change would also be made with a thinner and lighter appearance, as well as a screen change with the arrival of the mini LED and a notch for the FaceTime camera.

In his newsletter, Mark Gurman also addressed the issue of high-end devices from Apple. According to him, we should not expect 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros before the year 2023. However, we should see a new 13-inch MacBook Pro equipped with the M2 chip this year. We will therefore wait a few more months to verify these forecasts.
