Subaru presented us the new generation of the BRZ last November and, although we will not see it in Spain, it is fair to say that it looks very good. Today we know what will be the competition variant of the model, focused on the category Japan Super GT300. As you can see, it sports an aggressive exterior with multiple aerodynamic elements.
Accessories include: canards, a front splitter, the new front bumper, the ventilated hood, the yellow headlights, the noticeably widened body with carbon fiber panels, lightweight windows, reduced mirrors, a hatch in the roof, a two-level diffuser, a rear spoiler of biblical proportions and lightweight BBS rims.

Little else is known about the racing vehicle, but the production model will receive a four-cylinder Boxer engine and 2.4 liters naturally aspirated develops 170 kW (227 hp) and 249 Nm of torque (the motor is 15% more powerful). It can be paired with a six-speed manual transmission or an optional six-speed automatic with a new sport mode.
Regardless of the gearbox selected, they both send power to the rear wheels through a limited-slip differential. In addition, the BRZ 2021 features a stiffer chassis that borrows some elements from the Subaru Global Platform. Thanks to the increased use of aluminum, the total weight will be just 1,315 kilograms.
